Under the influence of the October Revolution of Russia, with the help of the Chinese Communist Party, Dr. Sun formulated the three cardinal policies of allying with Soviet Russia, with the Chinese Communist Party and supporting the workers and peasants in 1923, and reinterpreted his Three People's Principles in 1924: Nationalism is to oppose imperialism and advocate equality between people of all ethnic backgrounds; Democracy is to establish democratic politics shared by all the common people rather than monopolized by a handful of people; and the People's Livelihood means to share out land equally and economize on capital.三民主义1.
